The Toyota Fortuner an unmitigated success story based on the Hilux ladder frame and Toyota’s IMV platform (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle) aimed at developing countries. In the aforementioned places the Fortuner is a frequent if not ubiquitous mover of families, groceries, tourists often all at the same time. It is a practical status symbol – telling everyone you ‘made it out’ whilst driving back home to wherever that that is.
Unlike the first generation which was designed by Thai and Japanese engineers, our second generation subject was developed by Toyota Australia which we believe also has some understanding of being outdoors.
PARA64 in close collaboration with our Philippines partner Blue & Yellow Diecast proudly presents this model as part of a new direction showcasing the usual sharp diecast body line, separate part for lights but also treaded tires and metal base. This model will be presented in a printed paper box with internal protection.
