We all know that sinking feeling, that disappointment whenever you play Uber Roulette and you land a pre-COVID era Toyota Prius that is possibly roadworthy but has all the attraction of a rental ice skating boot.

It will get you to your destination, but you won't be inspired on the way. And if life is about the journey, well...

The Prius has always played its role superbly providing reliable unexciting transportation anonymously in traffic. That all changed when Toyota surprised everyone by announcing the 5th Generation (XW60) seven long years after the previous model. Every Prius (Prii plural) since its incarnation in 1997 revolved around the concept of a Hybrid drivetrain prioritising efficiency and up till now, aesthetics and performance. Runaway success started from 2009 where it became the best selling car in Japan. Success was international with the Prius nameplate being the best selling vehicle in California in 2013 and half a million Prii sold globally in 2010 alone.

The latest incarnation looks sharp and we at PARA64 have done our best to capture the sharp aggressive lines, which Toyota has termed "iconic wedge shape" (please note our models are not for internal use).

The panoramic roof is captured in a single element, and the rear light cluster is captured in detail. Free rolling wheels complete the package.

This 2nd release of this casting will be shipping in 2024 Q2 in Wind Chill White and Supersonic Red.
